The cherry treesare 8 years old and are of the following cultivars: Bing (early crop season) and Van (late crop season). There are 50 trees for each 1000sqm. Bing are large, dark and firm cherries that ship well. They ripen in the second half of June. The pulpis firmand sweet; the trees are vigorous and usually have an abundant harvest.Vanare large, with wide globular shape, dark red with crunchy sweet and slightly sour pulp.Trees grow strong and give a good harvest.
Sour cherries are 10 years old and are of the Oblachanska cultivar, which is widely used in confectionery. There are about 100 trees per 1000 sqm. Oblachanska ripen normally between 1 to July 6. They are small to medium-sized, broad heart- to globular-shaped, dark red with red sour pulp. The fruit of Oblachanska are suitable for mechanized harvesting .
This 50,000-sqm orchard is part of a larger 105,000-sqm orchard (60,000 sqm of cherry and 45,000 sqm of sour cherry), and the remaining 55,000 sqm are granted on lease. Trees have reached their maximum harvest.
Petya was born and educated in Lovech where she graduated in 1991, she then studied English Philology at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius " in Veliko Turnovo.
Petya’s previous experience has been in the management of real estate investments for investors from Israel. Her experience includes marketing, buying and selling property assets as well as administering the company in Bulgaria.
Petya’s first language is Bulgarian and she is also fluent in English, has good knowledge of Russian and basic Hebrew.
