Veliko Tarnovo now has its own Pet Cemetery, where owners can lay their beloved pets for their eternal rest. The decision for the establishment of the separate plot for animals was approved by the City Council in 2009 but it wasn’t widely known until recently when it started gaining popularity. Now there are more than 120 pets are buried there, among which dogs, cats, canaries, turtles and even fish.
The burial and digging of the grave cost 60 leva if the animal weighs up to 30 kg and 100 leva if it is more than that. For the organization of the ritual you will be charged another 20-25 leva.
