Veliko Tarnovo’s new attraction – a flower clock inspired by the one in Geneva

The only flower clock in Bulgaria is the newest attraction in Veliko Tarnovo. The idea and realization of the initiative is thanks to the Rotary Club – Veliko Tarnovo and is a gift for the citizens of the old capital. The park clock, made entirely with personal funds from the members of the Tarnovo Rotary Club, costs over 10 000 leva.

Talents from 12 countries and 3 continents will participate in the contest Silver Yantra in Veliko Tarnovo

From September 26 to September 29 the 17th edition of the International Pop Music Contest for Young Singers “Silver Yantra” will gather talents in Veliko Tarnovo from 12 countries and 3 continents – Europa, Asia and America. According to the regulation, the format of the competition allows 80 individual singers aged 5 to 25 years old, divided into 4 age groups. “Singing Families ” will also compete voices in the new attractive category “Family Group ”.

Veliko Tarnovo celebrates September 6th – the Unification Day of Bulgaria with a rich program

A rich program awaits residents and visitors of Veliko Tarnovo on September 6th – Unification Day. The Unification of Bulgaria was the act of the unification of the Bulgarian Kingdom and Eastern Rumelia in the autumn of 1885. It was coordinated by the Bulgarian Secret Central Revolutionary Committee. The unification was carried out after riots in different cities of Eastern Rumelia, followed by a military coup on September 6th in 1885, supported by the Bulgarian Prince Alexander I and led by Major Danail Nikolaev. The day was declared a public holiday for the country by the National Assembly on February 18, 1998.
