More than 4000 bikers from Bulgaria and 9 more countries will gather for the ninth annual Moto Rock Fest in Veliko Tarnovo; it will take place from 9th till 12th July. Rock fans from Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Holland, Norway, Germany and Austria will join this year’s edition of the fest.
On June 14 The Imperial Russian Ballet Company will perform Swan lake…the most loved classical ballet of them all. The masterpiece ballet will follow the original storyline with a few subtle revisions by Gedimas Taranda – artistic director of the Imperial Russian Ballet Company.
Tchaikovskys masterpiece will take place at the Palace of Culture and Sport in Veliko Tarnovo.

A new mall will open within the next month, it was announced by a local newspaper. It is located in the very centre of the town, just a stone throw’s away from the Green market. It will be smaller than the already existing one but still with its 10,000 sqm will bring joy to the shopping fans.
The shopping complex will host more than 30 shops, a bank branch, cafés and a restaurant. There will be also two parking lots, one of which – underground; they will have a combined capacity of 100 vehicles.
On 5th, 6th and 7th June Veliko Tarnovo will mark the third birthday of Britos Brewery with a large fest. A variety of interesting events will be organized during the three days with the venues being Asenevtsi Monument, Druzhba Park and Ivaylo Town Stadium. The organizers of the Summer Fest are hoping that over the years it will establish itself as traditional for Veliko Tarnovo and it will be celebrated every year at the beginning of June.
The 3-day festive programme includes a number of games and competitions, streetball and volleyball tournaments, beach tennis, dance lessons and lots more (Saturday and Sunday, Druzhba Park, between 11 am and 6 pm) .
Demonstration of archery techniques, book reading and an array of workshops to participate in are only part of the events which will take place this Saturday in Veliko Tarnovo. Boruna Park, near Asenevtsi Monument in Veliko Tarnovo, will host the Big Hammock Swinging Party on 30th May, from 10 o’clock. As you might have guessed a hammock garden will be set up where everyone can swing and relax for as long as they want. Many books will be available to read so you can combine your gentle swaying with an interesting read.
The newly formed Veliko Tarnovo Car Dealers’ Union (VTCDU) organizes such an event for the first time in Veliko Tarnovo. It will be held at Metro store parking. The show starts today and will continue till Sunday (19th October). Entrance is free and the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo will be present at the opening at 5 pm today (Friday, 17th October)
