A British expat has been organizing Guy Fawkes Nights in the village of Momin Sbor for some years now and this year is not going to be an exception. This is going to be the fourth annual Bonfire Night. Wildrovers Ltd will be holding their Guy Fawkes Party on Saturday, November, 5th from 6.30 pm.

This is a charitable event and all the funds raised will go towards Velvet Hearts – a local animal rescue charity. Miglena Dzhurova, who founded the organization, has recently bought a new plot of land with the aid of a German charity support group. The construction of a new animal shelter on the grounds is scheduled for the spring, and the host of the party is hoping that with your help they can give the building a good start.

The organizer is promising a great fireworks show, raffle, BBQ and lots more.

Prices of fruit and vegetables vary according to the season. In the summer time you can get 1 kg of tomatoes or cucumbers for as little as 0.30 p. Potatoes are within the 0.26 – 0.50 p range on a yearly basis and apples are selling between 0.30 and 0.80 p/kg. And with the approaching of the Christmas season prices of citrus fruit are falling – tangerines and oranges cost 0.45 p/kg and bananas are 0.80 p. Continue Reading
